Demand leads NewGenn to make products available on-line

NHS staff who use NewGenn's hygiene products in hospitals wanted to purchase them for use in their homes to better protect their families. These knowledgable specialists knew they can not purchase products of such high quality and performance from supermarkets or chemists.

Dr Farmer, NewGenn's Technical Director, said "For many decades the infection control products used in hospitals have failed in hospitals, as shown by the well publicised high rate of infections. The good news is that recent studies in hospitals have shown that the newly developed NewGenn products can break the infection cycles. What pleased us was the number of nurses and other NHS staff who asked to purchase NewGenn products for use at home to protect their families. The big supermarkets and high street chemists don?t stock products of this quality which made it important to provide an alternative retail outlet via the website."

Dr Farmer added: "A major reason why healthcare workers fail to use hygiene products is that they do not like the traditional products. NewGenn worked with those reluctant users to develop kind and friendly products that people would willingly use on a frequent and ongoing basis. The fact that NHS staff actually want to take these products into their homes shows how well that objective has been achieved. Therefore the most difficult battle has been won."

To spread the good word on how to break the hospital infection cycles NewGenn is working closely with the Department of Health and the Health Protection Agency.
