Ironically NewGenn developed the products for human hospitals using money from the British government. Dr Harley Farmer, a Veterinary Surgeon and the Technical Director at NewGenn, said: The human hospitals have been very slow to utilise the new products, but the Wood Green team immediately appreciated the potential gains to their residents and began utilising the whole range of products as soon as they became available. He added: Strenuous efforts are still being made to have human hospitals implement the new regime, but until public pressure forces a change the clean, caring and infection-free stay remains the sole domain of the animals.

Lisa Crowe, NewGenns Communications Manager, spent years at the Wood Green site in Cambridgeshire lecturing in the Veterinary Nurses course. Lisa said: It is really rewarding to see the animals benefit from these products that were developed to replace the harsh chemicals traditionally used in cleaning and infection control. The products are so safe they can even be used with new-born kittens and puppies.
